Biscom FoIP Systems Save Businesses Money
Fax over IP, or FoIP, works the same way that Voice over IP does: it uses digital transmission instead of standard telephony lines to transmit data. Like VoIP, FoIP systems save users money by reducing costs. With a FoIP system, local and long distance calls are charged at the same rate, reducing the amount of money spent on each transmission.
If your office already has a VoIP system, then switching to a FoIP network for faxing also enables you to eliminate your standard telephony system entirely, saving you money on PSTN and subscription charges in addition to the savings you'll accrue from the reduced cost of each call. You'll also eliminate unnecessary telephony hardware, thus reducing clutter and saving money on upkeep costs.
If you don't already have a VoIP system in place, you can still benefit from switching to a FoIP network for your faxes. With the Dialogic Brooktrout SR140 fax software and media gateway and Biscom's fax servers, you can send faxes over your Internet connection with or without a VoIP network. You'll still save money on long distance charges over standard telephony transmission.
FoIP systems are compatible with many MFPs, which makes it possible for you to further consolidate your network. Biscom's fax servers can integrate with your MFPs, enabling you to send and receive faxes over your IP network with your HP, Xerox, Sharp, Lexmark, Fabsoft, and eCopy hardware.
Biscom FoIP Interoperability

If you aren't sure if your network is compatible with Biscom's T.38 FoIP offerings, contact Biscom directly and we'll recommend the correct course of action to make the switch to a FoIP network.Read more on:
