The Problem
Prior to The Wolf Organization’s move of SAP to production in 2000, the company spent significant time and resources on manually faxing and mailing approximately 5,000 invoices per week, averaging one to three pages per invoice. Given the amount of time and costs required to manually fax and mail documents, The Wolf Organization realized its resources were being used ineffectively and required immediate action.

The Solution
“We needed a fax solution with an SAP interface,” states Vince Johnson, Vice President of Technology. “We also needed a product that was reliable, easy to install and cost-effective. Of the ten vendors we researched, STR Software was the only one whose product fit that description.”

The Wolf Organization went into production in June 2000 with AventX SAP Connector for automating the fax delivery of purchase orders, invoices and acknowledgements. Initially purchased to automate 5,000 invoices per week, AventX today automates the fax delivery of approximately 35,000 pages per month of mission-critical documents across the company.

“The original installation had been the most trouble-free of any SAP-related product we had,” stated the SAP implementation lead for The Wolf Organization. “It was also nice to have a company like STR that really understood SAP faxing.” With 98% of faxes being successfully delivered on the first attempt, the company has been able to curb its paper, personnel, printing and mailing expenses by an annualized rate of more than $40,000 – “a conservative estimate” admits Johnson.

The Wolf Organization considers STR Software as a strategic partner for ensuring daily operational success. “Technical support is great and incredibly clean,” states Johnson. “During the replacement of two servers in early 2006, their technical folks worked closely with our telecommunications provider to resolve issues with the phone lines themselves. The staff at STR Software is just great to work with.”
