Send and Receive an Email Fax with Biscom's Hosted Fax Services
Not all enterprise level businesses need onsite dedicated fax servers. For those that need the capability to send and receive faxes in volume, but who don't have the desire to install onsite fax servers, Biscom's hosted fax service gives you the power to send and receive volume faxes through your email program, browser, or other office software; no fax machine necessary.
Biscom's fax service software integrates with such email programs as Lotus Domino, SMTP, and Microsoft Outlook/Exchange. This integration enables you to use your email program to send faxes over the Internet. Faxes are addressed to the recipient at our fax server domain. The faxes are transmitted through the Internet to our servers, and from there to the intended recipient. You can attach files to these faxes just as you would with an email. Our software will convert many common file types to the correct format for fax transmission. Fax emails can also be addressed to multiple recipients, like an email, including a mix of fax numbers and email addresses.
You'll also receive faxes in your email program. Received faxes appear in your inbox with your other email. Attachments come in as searchable PDFs. You can then sort these faxes with your other business correspondence. You can also alter faxes in your email program and resend them to new recipients. You'll never have to print a hard copy to make alterations or to send the fax to new recipients.
The Benefits of Email Fax over Standard Fax Machines
Sending and receiving faxes in email format can have other benefits over traditional fax machines. First, it utilizes a software program that most employees are already familiar with, reducing errors and wasted time. Second, faxes sent from employees' computers enable them to send and receive faxes without leaving their workstations, freeing them to continue working on other projects while waiting for faxes to appear.
