Biscom's Fax Workflow API Simplifies Data Sorting
With the Workflow software, customized data entry fields are used to label images with the information necessary for easy sorting and searching. The data entered in the fields is kept in a searchable database, making it easy to call up the necessary documents when needed. The software allows only a single user to work on a document at one time, so the work of labeling and filing can be distributed across the group without fear of redundancy.
Both Workflow Express and Enterprise also enable users to consolidate documents with the "virtual staple" option. This option combines two or more documents into a single document. Users can also separate multi-page documents into several individual files. If they need to be moved to another location or department, documents can be faxed or forwarded to email or fax recipients. The software can also be used to annotate, sort, and modify emailed or scanned images, creating a single document management option for all incoming documents.
When used in tandem with Biscom's Advanced Fax Routing (AFR) software, document management and workflow is even more streamlined.
