Faxing over the Internet with Biscom's FoIP Servers
With Biscom's FoIP options, businesses can take advantage of the reduced costs of digital transmission for faxes. Biscom's T.38 FoIP solution integrates Biscom servers with the office VoIP network. Currently, Biscom's FoIP servers are compatible with VMWare virtual environments and VoIP hardware from such manufacturers as Cisco, Alcatel, Avaya, Dialogic, and Quintum. Additional interoperability is also possible with other IP Media Gateways provided by Biscom.
Biscom's servers can even use FoIP in offices without an existing VoIP network. The Dialogic Brooktrout SR140 fax software and media gateway enables Fax over IP without a VoIP network. Faxes are transmitted through the office's Internet service directly.
Switching to a FoIP solution from a standard telephony fax service saves businesses money on transmission costs, with or without a VoIP network. Faxes sent with FoIP systems are not subject to long distance charges, as telephony fax transmissions are. If the office already has a VoIP system, switching to FoIP eliminates the need for a telephony system at all. Businesses save money by eliminating redundant service charges and ease clutter by getting rid of unnecessary telephony hardware.
Faxing over the Internet with Biscom's Hosted Fax Service
Using Biscom's Hosted Fax Service enables users to send and receive faxes over the Internet, instead of installing onsite fax hardware. With Biscom's Hosted Fax Service, faxes are sent via email to Biscom's offsite fax servers. Received faxes can be re-faxed via email to other fax recipients or forwarded to email recipients. Using a hosted fax service saves a business money by reducing onsite hardware costs, telephone subscription charges, and peripheral costs such as toner. This service can also be scaled to accommodate both large and small businesses, and can grow with the business as its needs change.Read more on:
