Using Biscom Faxing Software to Streamline Fax Management
Biscom makes several software applications that enable integration with common business software and that facilitate better fax management. These software options are available to both Biscom server users and users of our hosted fax service.
Biscom's SDK enables users to create custom APIs to take advantage of software integration with a wider range of programs. The SDK comes with sample code for common scripts. Biscom engineers can also work with users to plan, design, and implement custom APIs.
Biscom's Advanced Fax Routing software streamlines fax management. This rules-based program can be customized by the user to automate the routing of incoming faxes based on several criteria. Data pulled from the fax itself, in addition to the information such as recipient or sender addresses or names, can be used to route faxes through the system. This data, extracted with OCR technology, includes barcodes, customer IDs, or purchase order numbers. The software can also query other resources to obtain additional information relevant to the incoming fax and have that information sent to the recipient along with the fax itself.
Biscom's Workflow Enterprise and Workflow Express applications also streamline document processing for documents received via fax, email, or on-site scanners. Images are annotated by the user with customizable data entry fields. This information goes into a searchable database to make the sorting, filing, and retrieving of documents easier. Other key aspects of the Workflow software include the capability to separate multi-page images into several documents, the capability to combine two or more images into a single document, and the capability to forward those images via fax or email.
Faxing Software Integration Options
In addition to its software offerings, Biscom also enables integration with other developers' software, such as SharePoint, Active Directory, and VMWare virtual environments, to make managing faxes and users easier.Read more on:
