Faxing via Email with Biscom's Software Integration
Biscom software integration, available with both onsite fax servers and hosted fax service, enables users to send and receive faxes via email. The Biscom software integrates with Outlook, Exchange, Lotus Domino, and SMTP to make sending faxes easier for users.
With Biscom's Hosted Fax Service, users create faxes in their email programs in much the same way that they would create an email. Faxes are addressed to the recipient and his or her fax number at (@) Faxcomanywhere.com. Users can then create the fax text in the body of the email and add attachments as necessary. Biscom's servers automatically translate these attachments to the proper transmission format. Once the user sends the faxes, they arrive via email to the offsite Biscom fax servers. From there, they are delivered to the correct recipient just as traditional faxes are.
Received faxes can be delivered to the recipient's email inbox, or directed to SharePoint. These faxes arrive as searchable PDFs that can be altered, stored, or re-sent in the same way as email. Received faxes can then be sorted and kept with the other relevant correspondence instead of in a separate location.
With Biscom's onsite fax servers, users can also use their email programs to send and receive faxes. With onsite fax servers, further software integration is also possible, including the capability to fax-enable other office software. This integration enables users to send faxes directly from the programs they used to create the documents to be faxed.
Faxing via Email and the Internet With FoIP
Biscom's fax servers are compatible with T.38 Fax over IP networks. With the proper configuration, your existing VoIP network can be used with the Biscom servers to send and receive faxes. If you do not have a VoIP network, Biscom's servers can be configured to send faxes directly over your Internet connection.Read more on:
