BISCOM, INC. INTRODUCES ENHANCEMENTS TO FAXCOM® FOR NDS AT BRAINSHARE 2002

CHELMSFORD, MA, (March 21, 2002) - At the Novell® BrainShare show today, Biscom, a leading provider of enterprise fax management solutions, introduced new features to its proven FAXCOM for NDS fax software solution. The enhanced FAXCOM for NDS supersedes the earlier FAXCOM for GroupWise product to offer extended fax client support, additional workflow functionality, and improved installation and fax addressing options.

"FAXCOM for NDS is the only fax solution on the market that fully leverages Novell Directory Services (NDS), making it easy for organizations to implement and benefit from Biscom's fax management technologies," says SK Ho, founder and CEO of Biscom.

With FAXCOM for NDS software and a FAXCOM Server, users of GroupWise Mail can send and receive faxes within the familiar GroupWise environment. In addition to supporting GroupWise Mail users, FAXCOM for NDS also supports the FAXCOM Client for Windows-based users, and the Web Client for Web browser-based users.

FAXCOM for NDS includes enhanced workflow functionalities such as JobTracking and shared received fax folders. JobTracking is a software module that monitors whether faxes reach there intended destinations, alerting system administrators by fax, email, printer, pager and/or cell phones if they don't. JobTracking also stores fax activity in a database, creating an archive that makes it easy for users to monitor fax traffic. With new shared fax folders, FAXCOM for NDS users on the same network can simultaneously access the received fax folder, allowing quicker processing of inbound fax documents such as purchase orders or prescriptions.

Another new feature included in FAXCOM for NDS is support for ConsoleOne, a Java-based module that gives administrators the option of creating fax queues anywhere within the NDS tree with either NetWare Administrator (NW Admin) or ConsoleOne. With either NWAdmin or ConsoleOne, administrators assign individual users to fax queues by selecting the appropriate rule from an easy-to-use drop-down list, selecting the specific conditional and selecting the fax queue.

FAXCOM for NDS also enables GroupWise Mail users to choose from three different methods to address a fax: displaying the Fax Address Builder dialog box; selecting fax recipients from an Address Book; manually specifying fax recipients.
