Biscom Announces FAXCOM® Anywhere
The world’s first extraprise fax server

Philadelphia, PA - May 17, 2005 - At the AIIM Show today, Biscom announced that it will provide a new platform, called FAXCOM Anywhere, to provide customers with protection and recovery of their investment dollars when procuring computer-based fax technology, as well as the ability to enable users outside a customer’s organization to provision and pay for services.

FAXCOM Anywhere is a fax server platform that extends to the extraprise – a solution that reaches beyond the four walls of an enterprise to include supply chain partners, including customers, vendors, and affiliated organizations. The platform includes deployment packages that accommodate enterprise, office and personal accounts and includes account and fax queue provisioning, billing, and secure communications.

Using FAXCOM Anywhere can be as simple as sending or receiving an email, or can be as sophisticated as connecting directly to BPM, ERP, CRM, document management, workflow, compliance applications, as well as MFP devices through software connectors or an API. The solution also provides a billing and transaction processing system for implementing and managing usage charges as well as SSL protected communications between virtual fax servers and the service.

As an example of how this product can be used, Biscom will provide an IP accessible service at www.faxcomanywhere.com and a choice of account plans that includes personal accounts for individual users, office accounts for small businesses with multiple users, and enterprise accounts that meet the demanding needs of larger organizations with production business process management requirements.

FAXCOM Anywhere allows customers to choose between deploying a premise-based fax server or implementing a virtual fax server that operates over a secure IP-connected fax service. The virtual fax server component is a platform that is based on Biscom’s FAXCOM Suite for Windows software, which can be installed on remote servers and can send and receive faxes to either locally installed equipment or over the Internet to FAXCOM Anywhere servers.
