BDS New Product Release
Biscom Delivery Server 3.0 will be released this June. This new release extends Biscom’s leadership position in providing secure file transfer solutions by offering a number of new features. BDS 3.0 will include: a new Outlook add-in, web access to the Global Address List, a native component that can talk to Active Directories, at rest data encryption, and advanced reporting features.
The added functionality of 3.0 will make it even easier for users to send files securely while maintaining a complete transaction and audit trail of the deliveries. Not only will BDS help users protect against data breach, eliminate overnight services and FTP servers, but the new release will also enable administrators to have better control over the information being sent within, and outside of, their organizations.
BDS will enable administrators to keep large email attachments out of Exchange without changing user behavior. The new BDS Outlook add- in will re-route attachments that exceed corporate policy limits through BDS. Keeping large attachments out of your Exchange mail store helps speed up backups, reduces file duplication, and minimizes bandwidth spikes by spreading the file delivery over time.
