Additional FAXCOM Administrator Class Added
Would you benefit from hands-on training with the FAXCOM solution? If so, register for our FAXCOM Administrator training class to be held at our Chelmsford, MA facility June 2-3. Our May class has filled up, and so we’ve added a second session for June. This is a lab-based training session that covers:
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining the FAXCOM Server software and Brooktrout fax boards
- User and application faxing with FAXCOM Suite for Windows’ Outlook, SMTP email, FAXCOM Client, FAXCOM Web Client, and APIs
- Administration of FAXCOM Suite via an MMC snap-in
- User management via AD and LDAP
- Creating image workflows with Advanced Fax Routing and Image Indexing

New Release – FAXCOM Suite for Windows
FAXCOM Suite for Windows is Biscom’s flagship application for fax enabling users and applications via Outlook/Exchange, SMTP email, the FAXCOM Client and Web Client, and APIs. FAXCOM Suite integrates with AD and LDAP directory services, and supports AD Group Policy and FAXCOM Policy for managing user attributes and permissions. New features in the 09.04.01 release include:
- Cloning/moving FAXCOM Queues
- ODBC phone book import utility for the FAXCOM Client and Web Client
- Consolidated real-time view of multiple FAXCOM Queue statuses from within the FAXCOM Suite MMC
- Ability to return the rendered fax image to the fax sender

New Release – FAXCOM CV (Clinical Version) and CV Plus for GE Centricity EMR
Biscom’s FAXCOM CV and CV Plus solutions integrate with GE Centricity Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to provide automated fax capabilities from within patient records. This integration makes it easy to fax prescription requests and other documents to pharmacies, doctor’s offices, and other locations. Faxes received to FAXCOM CV and CV Plus can be imported into the EMR using workflow applications. New features in the CV 03.01 and CV Plus 09.04.01 releases include:
- Importing fax completion statuses into the patients’ chart
- Having the rendered fax image imported into the patients’ chart
- Sending flags (notifications) on failed faxes to the original sender or an assigned administrator
- Allowing different configurations for different locations of care.

New Release – FAXCOM Lite and Lite Plus
FAXCOM Lite and Lite Plus offer entry level fax solutions for customers whose fax volumes do not require Biscom’s enterprise-level FAXCOM Server solution. The Lite and Lite Plus applications provide basic inbound and outbound fax features for small user groups, and offer a growth path to features such as Advanced Fax Routing available with our enterprise applications.

New Release – Biscom Delivery Server
A new release of Biscom Delivery Server will be available next week. BDS is a file transfer application that enables users to send files, documents, and messages securely while maintaining a complete transaction and audit trail of the deliveries. BDS is an ideal email attachment management solution, makes file delivery hassle-free, and eliminates vulnerable and cumbersome FTP servers. New features in the 2.51 release include:
- The ability to customize any text message used in the application
- Support for custom online help
- User registration enhancements
- Native integration with Active Directory/LDAP
