Biscom enhances Fax Integration with Microsoft Sharepoint

FAXCOM for SharePoint is a new solution from Biscom that extends MS SharePoint document management and collaboration capabilities by receiving faxes to, and sending faxes from, SharePoint document libraries.  FAXCOM for SharePoint intelligently and automatically delivers incoming faxes without the need to email-enable the SharePoint site.  Inbound faxes are routed using the following information sources:  information extracted from the fax image itself, such as a barcode or fax subject; transmission information associated with the fax, such as Caller ID or date/time of transmission.

Key features of FAXCOM for SharePoint are:

  • Auto-populating of document library column heading values
  • Receiving of faxes as searchable PDF files
  • Sending of outbound faxes from document libraries and automated workflows

FAXCOM for SharePoint support for receiving faxes into SharePoint document libraries is available today; support for sending faxes from SharePoint document libraries and automated workflows is scheduled for October 2009.
