Biscom Inc. and Westbrook Technologies Announce Partnership

 

Chelmsford, MA, May 9, 2007 - Biscom Inc., a leading provider of enterprise fax and secure document delivery solutions, and Westbrook Technologies, a leading provider of Enterprise Document Management for the Mid-Market, have announced a strategic partnership. With this new alliance, Westbrook will distribute the Fortis FaxIt connector which integrates inbound and outbound fax delivery with enterprise document management.

Our relationship with Biscom and our integration with the FAXCOM solution will open new opportunities for Westbrook in the enterprise fax server market," said Brent Wesler, Director of Professional Services for Westbrook. "We now have the capability to implement dynamic workflows to process received faxes into the Fortis document repository, thus reducing data entry time and other processing costs."

Fortis FaxIt leverages the robust capabilities of Biscom's FAXCOM fax server solution with Westbrook's Fortis product suite. Fortis FaxIt utilizes FAXCOM's Advanced Fax Routing rules engine to dynamically read unstructured data from fax images via OCR or barcode, apply business rules, and route documents. FaxIt uses the extracted data to classify fax images and then index and route them appropriately within Fortis.
