Chelmsford, MA – Biscom, the most trusted name in enterprise fax server and secure document delivery solutions has announced the release of FAXCOM Suite for Windows software version 9.6.6. This is the latest version of Biscom’s market-leading electronic fax and document delivery software, with new features designed to help customers streamline their business processes.

The FAXCOM Suite for Windows application is Biscom’s flagship software for integrating inbound and outbound fax delivery with Microsoft networks and applications. FAXCOM Suite for Windows integrates with Microsoft’s Active Directory (AD) service for managing fax users, supports AD Group Policy for managing user rights and properties, and is easily administered via the Microsoft Management Console (MMC).

Version 9.6.6 offers the following enhanced features:

  • Integration with SharePoint:
    • Capability to route to SharePoint document libraries
    • Capability to auto-populate the document library column heading values when routing to SharePoint
    • Capability to use data extracted from the fax image and fax transmission information as criteria for routing to SharePoint
  • New Policy to specify use of the FAXCOM Viewer to view faxes received as PDF files
  • Support for use of Transport Layer Security (TLS) for the SMTP Gateway
  • Web Client support for Internet Explorer 8 and Google Chrome

“Our customers have embraced FAXCOM Suite for Windows because it integrates so well into Microsoft environments,” said Don Dunning, CEO for Biscom. “The management components utilize Microsoft administration tools and access Microsoft directory services, all without extending the Active Directory schema.”

FAXCOM Suite for Windows includes multiple user and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). User interfaces include Outlook and other SMTP mail clients, the FAXCOM Web Client, and Biscom’s desktop fax application, the FAXCOM Client. Applications send and receive faxes programmatically through such interfaces as .NET, Web Services, COM, and SMTP.

Biscom has been a Gold Certified Microsoft Partner since 2006. “Release 9.6.6 of FAXCOM Suite for Windows reflects our commitment to supporting the latest Microsoft environments, and providing the functionality and management tools required by our customers,” said Mr. Dunning.
