The FAXCOM Server's integration with Directory Services enables you to easily
do the following:
- Route incoming fax jobs without having to manage a separate fax user list
- Assign users and administrators to fax queues
- Define fax queue parameters, such as fax priority, fax cover pages, and fax delivery options.
FAXCOM Suite for Windows works with any LDAP-compatible directory service
- without requiring any extensions to your schema - including, Active Directory,
Exchange 5.5, Domino, Netscape, and NDS. FAXCOM Suite for Windows is managed
via an MMC, and can support Group Policy in an AD environment. FAXCOM Suite
for Windows supports faxing through Exchange, SMTP, Biscom's FAXCOM Client
and Web Client applications, and application faxing via FAXCOM APIs.
FAXCOM for NDS integrates with Novell Directory Services (NDS) by extending
the NDS schema, allowing you to manage the fax service through Novell administrative
tools such as ConsoleOne and NW Admin. FAXCOM for NDS supports faxing through
GroupWise, Biscom's FAXCOM Client and Web Client applications, and application
faxing via FAXCOM APIs.
FAXCOM for Domino integrates seamlessly into the Domino
environment, using the Domino Name & Address Book (NAB) as a fax user
list. Users send faxes via the Notes mail client, or through iNotes.
