FAXCOM Command Language (FCL)

FAXCOM Command Language (FCL) is the software interface through which applications take advantage of the powerful imaging and communications capabilities of the FAXCOM Server.  FCL presents a consistent interface across all FAXCOM products, thereby facilitating development and support of existing and new applications.  Biscom and other third party software integrators use FCL to integrate the FAXCOM product into computer-based systems, while end users easily integrate fax functionality into their own host-based custom applications with FCL.

FCL offers the following features:

• Simple ASCII commands that can be imbedded in any file
  
• Complete control of fax communications functions, including dialing, retries, dot resolution, etc.
  
• Powerful imaging capabilities, including form overlays, signatures, logos and file conversions
  
• Comprehensive status feedback reporting
  
• Flexible data communications options facilitate communication with all major computer environments, including:  IBM, Hewlett Packard, Tandem, Novell, UNIX
  
• Standard command set portable across FAXCOM product family
