Integrated Malware Detection bolsters Biscom’s Secure File Transfer Solution

Chelmsford, MA – March 31, 2015 –OPSWAT, a leader in multi-engine malware scanning solutions, and Biscom have verified the integration of Biscom’s new 5.0 release of Secure File Transfer (SFT) and OPSWAT’s latest version of Metascan® file scanning technology, and have announced the ability to add up to 30 scanning engines for increased malware detection.

Biscom’s SFT solution gives customers the ability to send large files and confidential files easily without using email. SFT can be used as a secure email solution that works without any complex private or public key exchange. The partnership between Biscom and OPSWAT will enable companies in highly-regulated industries to use virus and malware scanning with multiple scan engines as part of an end-to-end file transfer process.

“We see OPSWAT as a nice fit with our SFT solution – it provides additional assurance for people receiving deliveries to know that the files have been scanned by many anti-malware engines and determined to be malware-free,” said Eric Lawrence, Director of Sales at Biscom. “Biscom has been a great partner and we’ve both worked hard to ensure compatibility between our products,” said Tom Mullen, Sr. Vice President, Business Development at OPSWAT. “With Metascan’s advanced threat prevention technology, Biscom customers will be able to increase the detection rates for all types of malware allowing them to confidently share information.”
