Technology industry analyst Gartner just released research on Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing (EFSS) and its increasingly strategic use in the modern digital workplace. Tom Eid, the Gartner analyst, released Market Insight: Transformation Drives the EFSS Marketplace through 2020 on April 8, 2016. I think Tom does a great job capturing the evolution of EFSS as it matures and becomes more integrated with mainstream business uses.
One of the key findings:
Buying patterns will shift from today’s “shadow IT” customer acquisition to more mainstream enterprise IT purchasing. This will be driven by an increasing view of EFSS as a strategic platform, which will raise concerns and diligence around security and governance controls.
We’re excited that Biscom has been recognized as one of the representative vendors cited in the report for Managed File Transfer in the Primary Software Market category.
