Sender reports that a fax was sent fine on their end, the fax server activity log shows the fax came in either with an error or fine, but the fax is nowhere to be found?

Troubleshooting with Bisom

Solution:

  1. Check admin mailbox of the right queue
  2. Check inbound routes to see where the fax went
  3. Check activity log of the queue to verify if the fax came in properly and to what account

If it was sent to the admin mailbox check the following:

  1. Is there a user for this fax number
  2. Check service log of the queue
  3. If there is a user or UNC path make sure you can log in to the user or access the UNC through the server
